How to use hold keyframes in After Effects

Hold keyframes keep a value locked until the next keyframe happens, with no in-between motion or tweening.

Steps to use hold keyframes

Set keyframes on a property like Position.

Select layer keyframes in After Effects

Right-click one of your keyframes and choose Toggle Hold Keyframe.
